What it is
Up The Creek is happening on the evening of 31st July 2026, on the long high tide, in the beautiful village of South Pool. It’s going to be a relaxed community event: a variety of music drifting across the village, fantastic food options to choose from, a beer tent, cocktail bar and ales and wine available from the Village Hall.

Acknowledgements & Proceeds
With special thanks for support from the Harbour Master and the Millbrook Inn.
All proceeds to Kingsbridge Food Bank, Music education at Kingsbridge Community College and the South Pool Church Fabric Fund and Village Hall.
The Charities
All proceeds from Up The Creek go to support two local charities.
Kingsbridge Community College has a thriving music department where students have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of extra-curricular activity. There are multiple chances to perform during the academic year, and it is always a privilege to watch young people develop their abilities over the time that they are with us.
One of the strengths of the artistic life of the College is ‘The Collectives’. These comprise students from different year groups, playing different instruments, coming together in multiple combinations to perform music across all genres. All year groups are represented by many students, and watching young people perform in different combinations with ease, is a delight.
The funds that are raised through the generous support of ‘South Pool — Up The Creek’ will be spent on the maintenance and purchase of musical instruments that students can borrow in order to be part of this growing extra-curricular activity, the cost of which might otherwise be a barrier for some students.
Visit Kingsbridge Community CollegeKingsbridge Foodbank has been running for 13 years providing crucial support to the South Hams, and run entirely by volunteers. Last year they supplied 10,974 week’s meals to adults and 8,738 week’s meals to children.
It is not just a food bank, working as it does with a number of partner agencies together providing safeguarding oversight and wider support. Over 80 volunteers give their time to the Foodbank, delivering food parcels, packing bags and splitting bulk donations. For many volunteers it is also their safe space, from which they benefit both physically and mentally.
The Foodbank is entirely funded by donations, fundraising and grant applications. Registered charity 1189068.
